um… hey.
so something really scary happened last night.
i was sleeping and then i heard this awful sound outside. like something scratching and breathing weird? i looked out the window and something jumped past it. just really fast and then gone.
exa ran after it immediately. she's braver than me. i just stood there for a second but then i followed her outside because i got worried.
we looked around in the mud and there were paw prints. big ones. and we found pink fur stuck on stuff. like bright pink, which is weird because nothing down here is that color.
we still don't know what it was. exa thinks maybe it's hiding somewhere close. i'm honestly really freaked out.
have you seen anything like that? something with pink fur and big paws? i know it sounds kind of silly but… i don't know. maybe you've heard of something like this before?
we put a trap near the house with some food in it. now we're just waiting to see what happens. i keep looking out the window every few minutes.
i'll tell you if we catch it. or if it comes back.
um… yeah. that's it i guess.
